Reply:Perhaps you're not clear on what the word "wholesale" means. When you buy (for example) enough toilet paper for over 5 years of personal use, you show the wholesaler your merchant license, which is document proof that you intend to resell the items you had bought, with a markup to reflect storage cost, administration, and a reasonable profit margin. Your merchant's license entitles you not to be charged sales tax. If you're not buying a huge quantity, and don't hold a merchant retailer's license, you don't qualify for wholesale prices. If you have a Costco membership store in your area, and apply for wholesaler discount, they're going to ask you to produce your business license, which is document proof you intend to use your purchases, either for resale to the general consumer, or to replenish your business raw materials consumables. If you want flowers for a one-time wedding event, you don't qualify for a wholesale discount. Oh sure, some retailers claim they're giving you a wholesale deal, but they're just using the word "wholesale" as a marketing ploy. "Wholesale" means to buy a HUGE quantity, for either resale to the general public, or to replenish your business operations' raw-material consumables.
Reply:A true "wholesaler" will not sell to anyone without a retail license. Anyone who advertises "wholesale to the public" is lying.
