07-07-07 A question to all the WEDDING professionals and service providers (florists, photographers, etc)?

As we all know 07-07-07 was supposed to be a BIG wedding day, and my question to you is "Was it really that spectacular?"

Did your telephone ring off the hook with inquiries and requests? As a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and a wedding ceremony officiant I was associated with four different weddings on July 7 (a home wedding at 7AM, a park wedding at 11AM, a 4PM wedding in the garden of a country inn, and a 630PM wedding at a historic railroad station), and none of these weddings were spectacular or lavish. Tell me about your 07-07-07 experiences . . the good, the bad, and the ugly. And have you received any inquiries for 08-08-08?

I went out and photographed an art show. I didn't have any weddings scheduled. LOL gotta love the hype.
Reply:I'm not a vendor but I'm planning my own wedding....from what my vendors told me it was the most popular day tha most of them had had in yrs. Some of the vendors booked this date up to 5 yrs ago....
Reply:Just another way for "free advertisement". As a florist, I saw no different meaning in the day! Nor have I heard or saw anything spectacular happen at none of the events of that day! Actually we had more funerals to tend to than weddings! Ironically but yeah! Just another day! No special flare was noticed by any of the staff either just another hectic day with summer weddings at the norm and unexpected funeral needs. Just like the end of the world at the break of the millennium!!! Yeah sure! Life is what we make of it not having nothing to do with some silly number sequence!
Reply:I planned 10 wedding with the help of my staff. thank god.
