Can anyone suggest some very modern flowers I can have for my wedding day bouquet ?
when i see calla lily - i think modern ;)..just get 3 stalks and tie it with a ribbon..you get modern and sophisticated and trendy
Reply:i will try to look for it cos i deleted it from my favorites after the wedding Report It

Reply:what's your colour scheme for the wedding?
Reply:What are your colours girl? Something like Bird of Paradise is way cool, cala lilies are getting popular again, and gerbera daisies in strong colours are really hot.
Reply:I had calla lilies. I think they're modern, classy and elegant without being in your face. A very nice flower for a bridal bouquet!
Reply:There are so many beautiful flowers these days its difficult to suggest any, you could be very different and go for a bouquet with greenery in as the main feature rather than flowers. I have seen this done to great effect at times.

Why dont you go to one of the florists in a large town near you if they want your custom they will only be too pleased to spend time with you and discuss options. I would say an independant rather than one of the larger chains would be better.

Reply:For something stunning go for Bird of Paradise or for something romantic go for Canterbury Bells.
Reply:Dahlias are a great modern flower. Also those little white flowers that are pronounced (but not spelled) STEF-an-otis, these look great with little pearls in them!

White roses are classic and always modern.

Try a combination of these with natural green sage and some wild flowers! My was just like that and only cost $40US. because the dahlias were in season.

Hope this helps, and I wish you a wonderful wedding
Reply:i'm having a bouquet of peonies and the bridesmaids are carring bells of ireland
Reply:l am going to have a bunch of white hydrangeas with a nice butterfly brooch included in the bouquet, plus lots of ivory and gold chiffon ribbons, modern and different.
Reply:I like calla lilies a LOT lol. They will be the dominant flower in my bouquet with roses to accent. The white ones are the most traditionally used ones in bouquets but the colored callas are so gorgeous.

Reply:Lilly's are beautiful and i think really modern, better then roses etc. Just be sure to have the pollen cut off becuase it stains! lol
Reply:I had all white tulips and had my girls carry a mix of colored ones...beautiful, but they begin to open if they aren't in water, so try to find some water between the ceremony and reception. Also, calla lillies are "whats in" currently. Hydrangea is pretty...and if you want cheap, you only need a few to create a really full boquet. Orchids are the other one I'd suggest...they come in all kinds of colors and can be mixed and matched with a lot of different flowers. :)
Reply:First pick a color- then decide the rest from there
