For my wedding, the bridesmaids are wearing burgundy dresses.?

The dresses have champagne sashes. The florist wants to use these two colors plus magenta in the bouquets and centerpieces. Do you think that this will look good together and not take away too much from the wine and champagne feel that I am going for? I am not a huge girly girl and therefore not a huge fan of the color pink. BUt if it looks good, then I will go for it. Does anyone have any pictures of using these colors together? Thanks!

You should trust your florist. I had set my colors at navy blue and aubergine, and my florist suggested incorporating green (think green apples) and it was a GREAT suggestion. You are paying these people a lot of money to help you make these decisions, so let them.

One important thing: ask for a sample so you can see the colors together. When I asked for samples, my florist actually took me to a wholesaler and showed me what we were looking at using. It made it easier for me to imagine the final product.
Reply:Ask the florist to put several flowers of each color together and show you. Personally, I think it would be lovely--the fuschia will brighten up the whole bouquet and add some punch. I've seen bouquets of red, dark red, and assorted oranges together for Fall weddings and you would not think that it would work, but it does. Tell your florist you need a "visual".
Reply:I sure wouldn't use magenta, but maybe burnt orange, or golden yellow.

Reply:no no no- magenta with burgundy? no way jose. pale yellow roses maybe but no magenta.
Reply:sorry can't help you, hope you get this resolved
Reply:Sounds beautiful! If you're so unsure, as for her to make up a sample bouquet or centerpiece!
Reply:Your best bet would be to call up your florist and ask her if she can order one of each flower (in the exact colors) that she had in mind... (it shouldn't cost you more than $10 ...if she charges you for it) and see if you like how they look together. You can't get the true color by looking at the computer... flowers are totally different in person!
Reply:Go to a home improvement store and pick up paint samples in these colors so you can see how they go together.
Reply:I don't have any pictures, but I don't like the idea of having magenta (or any type of pink) with burgundy and champagne. But as the person above me said, if your florist thinks it will work, ask her to show you!

I have always thought shades of red and pink clash, so for me, it's a no. I was also told never to wear more than 3 colours at once, because it's too much, so I would consider this too.

These are my colours too BTW, and I would keep it as simple as possible. There are plenty of red and cream flowers you can use.
Reply:my dresses were burgundy and gold... here are some pics of them...

we got the flowers from costco (so they are all mixed flowers, some purple, some pink, some yellow, white....)
Reply:i think its too much of those colors

keep it simple by using white roses and maybe a light pink or burgundy rose hear and there in the bouquet
Reply::-/ Magenta against burgundy and champagne sounds a little funky to me. I guess it's one of those things you'd have to see to form an opinion.
