I live in adelaide %26amp; i have been so some florist but most want $45 a bucket thats with the buds still on so by the time i pick the petals i'l probs get a 1/4 of a bucket??
Where can i get fresh rose petals @ reasonable price? (for a wedding aisle)?
Fresh rose petals are all probably going to be fairly expensive. If you're simply looking for NATURAL rose petals vice silk ones, have you considered buying freeze-dried? Many places offer bulk freeze-dried petals for a decent price.
For example, this place http://www.flyboynaturals.com/ offers prices as low as 60 cups for $50. They are "imperfect" rose petals, so some are probably split, shaped funny, etc, but I doubt anyone would notice! Another benefit of freeze-dried petals would be that you wouldn't have to worry as much about accidentally staining carpets, fabric, etc!
Unfortunately, price comparison is hindered by various measurement. Some vendors sell by the "package" which is a measure of how many people could potentially throw them. Some sell by the number of petals. I've linked a few different vendors below for your perusal.
Reply:Go to a rose garden or nursery. They will be sure to have them. (I got married just out of brisbane in a rose garden that backed onto a rose nursery and we got the petals as part of our deal... though we could have bought extra buckets for the reception for $50 each - but this was just the petals alone - not the buds - so we would get a lot more than you have been quoted) Keep looking and good luck!
Reply:go to ur local flower shop, they often get rid of petals that seem a bit withered from fresh roses, and u can ask the to save it up for u. its cheaper and sometimes they give to u for free, coz they're getting rid of them already, they look just as good as new petals with few flows that i bet no one will notice :)
Reply:ya know i would place an order but get peony petals instead of roses. they are cheaper, you get more and the colors are nicer!
nobody will care if it's not rose petals you are tossing.
i think i will order the pink and cream for my wedding.
