How do you make flower centerpieces with fake flowers?

Any websites.. My wedding colors are Turquoise and silver. I am trying to save money and going to a florist to make my centerpieces it would've cost me too much money so i am trying to save money.. any suggestions will help.

How do you make flower centerpieces with fake flowers?
I did all the flowers people carried and wore for my brothers wedding and my mother did the tables. Have you thought about just having two large urns of flowers and then on the table put hurricane lamps with candles and mirrors under then sprinkle some of those decorative rocks on the table? Either way flowers on every table is going to be expensive.

What flowers are you using for your bridesmaids, yourself, and the men?

Maybe making topiaries out of small tree branches, with round floral foam and white/turqouise carnations, in a clay pot painted one of the colors?

I'm just guessing things off the top of my head.....

I would recommend the simpler hurrican with the candle idea.

If you really want to save money do all the flowers in silk yourself. They last longer, you can use them as centerpieces later on your dining room table.
Reply:Just don't use plastic flowers. Use silk instead.
Reply:an idea:

depending on the type of flowers you want to use - you could opt for white carnations or roses (silk), fern leaves and/or babies breath.

buy some small square glass containers from ikea or anywhere you can buy in bulk for cheap or even centerpieces like these:

place a piece of green foam (for artificial flowers) in the center and poke a few flowers in the center along with some babies breath and fern on the outter edge of the foam.

you can fill the sides and remaining space in the bowl (or other candle holder, vase) with decorative rocks, flat marbles or even colored sand (preferably turquoise).

hot glue a very formal/sophisticated ribbon (silver) to line the edging of the bowl.

another idea:

candles can be expensive, but if you don't have too many tables to decorate use candles.

large candles

tie both turquoise and silver ribbon around it and create a floral candle ring with carnations or preferred flower(s), fern and babies breath.

if you live near Los Angeles, you should go to the fashion district... there are a couple of stores that specialize in products for weddings (with very very reasonable rates!)
