When should I book a florist?

My wedding's in 7 months and I'm getting behind in my planning. What's a good time to book a florist?

When should I book a florist?
Right now!!!! You don't want to ever hear, "I'm booked for that weekend." Florists can only do so many weddings a weekend. You want the best, and it is never too early. Some people book over a year in advance. I did right about 7 months.
Reply:4 weeks before my wedding I wondered into a flower arrangement (like for your house) shop and she showed me bouquets that she had done out of fake flowers. I fell in love and ordered all my flowers from her which means I got to keep my wedding bouquet, table decs, pinholes, etc in MINT condition!! They are totally gorgeous, i wish I knew how to upload a photo, I could show you...

Don't worry about falling behind in planning, I organised mine in 2 months, starting as a family affair ending up black tie with 50 guests. You'll do fine, just have fun!!
Reply:ASAP,That is a very important person . Make an appointment and talk with that person. After January it will be hard to get one. I got married April 07. Trust me on this one.
Reply:As soon as possible so that you can get your pick over others who will be sharing your date. But check with the local better business bureau before booking them.
Reply:My mom booked hers 3 monthes before the wedding...call to confirm 2 weeks before than call again 1 day before...
Reply:I had two hold the spot still can not decide. Have not put any money down. My wedding less than 5 months.
Reply:as soon as you can, i would book one. it feels so much better knowing you have something booked than to still have it on your to-do list... the less stress the better!!
Reply:Hi and congratulations!

Anytime really...but I would do it soon. Many florists only book a certain number of weddings in a day. So if you have one in mind, it's best to get in to reserve your date. Book a consultation to go over details and prices.

I would do this soon!
Reply:Anytime. Just to hold the spot. And so you can plan things out with them over a period of time so you dont feel rushed.
Reply:I would say within the next month or so.

You'll want to have your sites reserved first
Reply:In most areas, you are already behind. Your wedding is in peak wedding season (June - August) which means many wedding vendors are booked up even sooner then usually. If you want fair prices and a decent selection of florists, you need to book asap.
Reply:ASAP. I booked/reserved mine way in advance but I didn't have to decide on what flowers I wanted or colors till about 6 weeks before the wedding.
Reply:As soon as you have your venue, book the florist. You can work out the details later. Don't risk not having one available when you need one.
Reply:Well, definitely start looking for a florist...it may take a while to find one who is willing to work with your style and budget.

As for when to book a florist, I would do it ASAP. Florists get booked for weddings quickly, especially if they are a well known florist.
