Wedding flowers advice...?

I'm getting married in November, and my colors are a wine/deep burgundy color and cream/white. So far, my florist and I have discussed doing deep burgundy roses, cream roses, and some ruberim lilies (with the burgundy strip)... I was just wondering if this sounds okay? Should I make any alterations - perhaps add calla lilies? Or would that increase the price too much?

Wedding flowers advice...?
Mini callas would make a gorgeous addition, but they will definitely increase the price.

Your combinations sound good. If you're looking to add additional textures, take a look at some lower priced seasonal fall flowers in burgundy like Sweet William (dianthus), coffee berries (hypericum), or petite dahlias.

You might also suggest the florist use both regular size roses and spray roses in your colors. Blending the two in bouquets generally takes better photos since using burgundy and cream roses that are both the same size can create a polka dot effect when the bouquets are photographed in front of gowns.
Reply:I was gonna have cala lilies until I found out they were $14 a piece lol...then I used silk ones...they are a beautiful flower but if money is no object then go for it, sounds like either way will be pretty.
Reply:Adding callas, while gorgeous, will definitely take the price up. My fear is that the flowers are going to look like you are trying to match them to the gown and they won't - no matter how hard you try you aren't going to get a 100% match and it'll look 'off'. I would go with something brighter, like someone already suggested, stargazer lillies or a deep rose pink rose with the cream would be elegant. If you like the look of callas, a mini call is much less expensive and comes in a wider variety of colors - a mango calla with a deeper red (not too close in color to the gowns though) would be very rich looking.

Good Luck!
Reply:My color was wine as well. I did stargazer lillies for the bridesmaids bouquets. They are kind of burgundy with white edges. My bouquet was the stargazers and oriental lillies (they look like the stargazers, but are white.)
