Help, I am having trouble finding a good dj, florist, and bakery for my wedding.?

I am getting married in Corpus Christi, TX in January. We already have the ceremony and reception sites as well as the caterer. Now we need to find a bakery, florist, and dj. We are looking for good, but not too expensive when it comes to the cost. But we are open to any suggestions. Please help.

Help, I am having trouble finding a good dj, florist, and bakery for my wedding.?
Ask your friends who they used for a DJ -- consulting with those around you can help steer you in a good direction. You can also think about the events that you have been to and ask for who was responsible for the music.

For my flowers, I found pictures out of a magazine and websites of what I wanted my bouquets to look like and I had the florist duplicate them. Price the florist and then go from there. They are all pretty similar in their abilities and ask to see a sample book or for referrals and check around.

The process is easy but time consuming. It is worth it in the end. My favorite planning tool was the Bliss Weddings Wedding Planner (website below) because it gave me checklists to ask our vendors to narrow the field for who could give us the best quality at a reasonable price.

Good luck and congratulations!

These will guide you to wedding vendors in your area
Reply:Ask around, your caterer and people at the reception site will be a good place to start off with. Then I would just make appointments with the professionals you're considering, and see who you like the best. Best of luck to you!
Reply:try asking your caterer..they have contacts and they will surely help you.
Reply:I just moved to Corpus, so CONGRADS neighbor! I got married in the Dallas area, so I don't know of any vendors locally, but what really helped me was asking the vendors I did have for advice on others to use. That is how I found my photographer, florist, bakery, and travel agent for the honeymoon. They work together a lot so they can tell you who is good, bad and ugly.

Also, theknot.com was helpful and I don't know if they have them here, but bridal shows are great!

Good Luck and all my best!
Reply:Try theknot.com- it's free and you can put up post in your local area for help. I found my florist, photographer, hall and cater all through the knot. The people are very nice on there and very willing to share information and deals. If you post your budget you'll get lots of advice. We had a problem finding a decent price photographer but the knot solved that!
Reply:Well, I'm not from Corpus, but here's my two cents.

Try the online yellow pages. Yahoo! has a link to them off the homepage. You can search there for people and call them to get quotes, etc.

  1. Happy Wedding!
Wedding sites need to be well decorated & flower decorations add more to your function.
You can get the best florist from Corpus Christi flower shops.
