I need some help deciding what other color would go nice with teal. I'm having a hard time finding any teal colored decorations, invitations, and flowers, so I need a second color. It seems like there are alot of turquoise and aqua, but no teal. From the following choices, which color would go best with teal? (The reason I am using these colors is because these are the options offered by my florist):
- purple
- yellow
- orange
- red
- pink
- peach
- burgundy
Wedding theme color to go with TEAL?
I would go with purple and pink. You can get the bridesmaid dresses, the tableclothes, napkins, etc. in a teal color. Then for your flowers you can do a nice rich purple and pink color. I think that combination would look beautiful together...and it's a little easier to find things in that color.
Reply:Believe it or not, bright YELLOW looks great with teal. My husband's cousin used this at her wedding and it looked surprisingly great.
If you are adding a 3rd accent color, you should go with a neutral, like black or brown.
Have fun!
Reply:i so agree with the other poster, teal and white. teal is a very strong color, and stands well on its own.
Reply:i vote for teal and yellow... but try to add in some chocolate brown touches here and there... that is really my all time favorite color combo, teal and chocolate brown.
Reply:LOL! that was my "little kid" nickname..Lexi Lu! now i am just "Sexi Lexi" haha!
Reply:My personal choice would be a pale pink. But with the trends the past years, a chocolate brown would go great. Also, pink and brown are the current trend setters.
Reply:I'm trying to decide the same thing this evening. I was thinking red/teal or possibly deep pink/teal but I'm afraid of looking too 80's.

Reply:I would use pink peach and Orange it would look lovely with tropical Flowers maybe Even a semi tropical theme
Reply:i dont think you should go with teal at all. especially since it doesnt go with any of those colors you listed.. it will go with brown i think thats about it. but if its spring.. i'd say pastel colors.. and green ... not teal.. goodluck to u though.
Reply:Teal and yellow would look really pretty if you are having a summer wedding. If your wedding is in the winter/fall I would choose burgundy.
Reply:i think pale colors look good with teal. baby blue, light pink, lavendar...etc.
Reply:OMG. Teal is new pink so I hear. My niece is teal/brown which I love!!! But if you have to pick from one of those listed, I see your problem..BUT I'm gonna say what shade of yellow...that would be ok. no burgundy not a spring color. Peach is very 80's ish, red to bold, orange maybe purple also depends on the shade. I would have to see the exact shade of "teal" you refer to. But I guess Yellow is best on spring wedding.
Reply:If you have teal I would say thats the only color you should do. My sister had a teal and white wedding and it was very pretty.
Reply:I wouldn't use any of the colors you listed above, except for the burgundy.
I think that teal goes very nice with brown also. But a little of both of those colors goes a long way.
If you want your bridesmaids dresses to be entirely teal, I would go with a very subtle teal. Not too bright. The groomsmen could wear black or white tuxes w/ burgundy or brown ties and/or vests to complement the teal. You could also incoporate the two colors into your flowers. It may be a little easier (and prettier) to incorporate burgundy into the flowers than it would be for the brown. But then again, you could always use teal, brown and burgundy. As long as you pick similar shades and are not over doing it, there is no reason those 3 colors would not look good together.
By the way, I wouldn't listen to anyone who says you should base your colors on what time of year you are having the wedding. This is your wedding and you can you any colors you want. Yes it would be pretty to have summery colors for a summer wedding, or fall colors for a fall wedding, but you have to do what is going to make you happiest.
Reply:Yellow and teal seem like happy spring colors! You could use yellow roses
Reply:For a spring wedding: teal and orange. It's bright, it's fun, it's contemporary.
Think about these colors also:
Teal, tiffany blue and green
Here's a link that shows the color scheme; granted, this scheme is for a winter wedding, it would still work for a spring wedding also:

Reply:Teal %26amp; Purple.... It's Flasy and not off the wall Opposites.... orangeand yellow may make it look a little halloweenish peach would be to light and burgundy would be to dark Red might make the christmas look stand out so i would either go for Pink Or Purple ....goodluck!
Reply:teal and purple gorgeous!!!!!1 pink or peach go wel also!!!
Reply:None of those will look good with teal. Your florist will also have cream, coffee au lait, lt tan, off white or champagne. That's what my daughter used with in her wedding, where her main color was teal. It was outstanding, and her wedding dress was a champagne color.
Reply:Personally, I would not pick any of the listed colors. I would do brown and teal. I think it's an excellent color combination. I like brown with teal, because brown is a neutral. Like any color combination, you need to have a mix of bright and neutral. The teal will pop and give the wedding brightness and depth, but the brown will keep in classy. If you pick two pastels or bright colors, it might end up looking like a child's birthday party.
Reply:yellow. that's what I think. but I would really kept it at turquoise and white and for decor add some silver.
Reply:One of my friends did this color and it looked awesome! It almost looked like the Tiffany's color... She added the Chocolate Brown accents it looked amazing, now I see your florist does not offer this color perhaps you can negotiate this that this color would be added. However, If I had to choose from that list I would say go try going with some a bit lighter than teal, any other bright color with teal would be a bit much. I would go with a light orange, or a peach.
Reply:I actually like the effect red has on teals and aquas. Very striking.
